2023 Board Elections

 There are many personal benefits to volunteering with ACMP Colorado:

• Give back to the change management community - Help to advance the discipline in Colorado by connecting, educating, and serving change management practitioners. 
• Deepen existing skill sets or develop new ones - As a volunteer, you tell us how you’d like to contribute and we will find a way for you to do so.  
• Expand your network - Meet other change practitioners from Colorado! 
• Position yourself for the next level at work - As a board member, you will be intimately involved in organization-level decision-making and take an idea from strategy to execution. 

While you have the choice of how you’d like to contribute, there are a few things to expect of the environment:

• Your fellow volunteers will be respectful, thoughtful, and engaged; we want to hear your ideas and find ways to realize them.
• Your work will be valued and appreciated; your contributions will affect the change management discipline across the state.
• Aside from board meetings every other month, you decide how often to meet up with teammates at a coffee shop or online.

 We're glad you'd like to join us! There are two ways to serve on either our board or a committee. The committees are a great way to get involved if you are not sure about committing to a board role just yet!

For board positions: 

1. Join ACMP. Board positions are only open to active members whether it is an individual, student, or organizational membership. If you are not currently a member, please join!
2. Chat with the current board member. This will allow you to get an idea of the position and determine whether it is a good fit for you.
3. Nominations have closed.
4. Voting is open now through November 16 at noon. Refer to the email you received on November 9 to cast your vote. Learn about the candidates here.
5. If elected, we'll notify you from November 20 through November 22nd. You'll have 10 business days to let us know if you accept the position. Once you've accepted, we'll schedule a transition meeting and introduce you to the full BoD. Congratulations!
6. If not elected, let’s chat. If you didn’t get elected to your first choice, can we interest you in another position?

For committee positions: 

• Consider joining - While committee members are not required to be active members of ACMP Colorado, we strongly urge you to join our community. 
• Chat with the Governance Director - The Governance Director will know which teams are recruiting and the types of skills needed. 
• Submit your application - Committee members do not need to be elected, so simply apply and tell us a bit about yourself and why you’d like to serve. 
• Celebrate - Welcome to the team!

 ACMP Colorado’s  President is the chief executive officer of the Chapter and is responsible for implementing the strategic plans and policies of the Chapter. This position is the primary liaison and represents the Chapter with ACMP Global and other external stakeholders. This role requires prior ACMP board experience. 

If you can answer yes to these questions, you may be a fit:

• You possess an understanding of board structures and parliamentary procedure 
• You apply strategic thinking, uphold diplomacy, and build partnerships
• You have strong organizational, facilitation, and communication skills 

Including board meetings, ACMP global representation, and other work, this position is estimated to require a commitment of 6-8 hours per month.

ACMP Colorado’s Communications Director serves in a Chief Marketing Officer role to the chapter. This position is a great opportunity to be the face of communications with our members, overseeing our communications channels and ensuring folks don't miss the awesome programming coming up.

• You enjoy being in the know and helping others be in the know
• You enjoy thinking of creative ways to engage people in meaningful conversations
• You enjoy giving a local flavor to news coming out of a larger/global organization

ACMP Colorado’s Secretary serves in a Senior Advisor function to the Board. This officer position (one of three legally required positions) is a great opportunity to learn about every aspect of the management of the organization and is tasked with keeping our board running smoothly.

• You enjoy helping folks prioritize and discuss issues
• You enjoy documenting decisions and actions
• You enjoy the development and implementation of internal policies

Including board meetings and other work, this position is estimated to require a commitment of 4-6 hours per month.

 ACMP Colorado’s Governance Director develops and manages the implementation of operational guidelines and strategies. This position works closely with the board to ensure everything runs smoothly and by Chapter guidelines. The position manages the elections and committee membership so it is a great way to build connections across the ACMP Colorado community.
