  2. Review the open role descriptions to see which one is a good fit for you.
  3. Chat with the current board member. This will allow you to get an idea of the position and determine whether it is a good fit for you.

ACMP Colorado Board Election overview

Please email governance@acmpcolorado.com if you have any questions!

There are many personal benefits to volunteering with ACMP Colorado:

  • Give back to the change management community - Help to advance the discipline in Colorado by connecting, educating, and serving change management practitioners.
  • Deepen existing skill sets or develop new ones - As a volunteer, you tell us how you’d like to contribute and we will find a way for you to do so.
  • Expand your network - Meet other change practitioners from Colorado!
  • Position yourself for the next level at work - As a board member, you will be intimately involved in organization-level decision-making and take an idea from strategy to execution.

While you have the choice of how you’d like to contribute, there are a few things to expect of the environment:

  • Your fellow volunteers will be respectful, thoughtful, and engaged; we want to hear your ideas and find ways to realize them.
  • Your work will be valued and appreciated; your contributions will affect the change management discipline across the state.
  • Aside from board meetings every other month, you decide how often to meet up with teammates at a coffee shop or online.

Committees are a great way to get involved if you are not sure about committing to a board role just yet!

For committee positions:

  • While committee members are not required to be active members of ACMP Colorado, we strongly urge you to join our community.
  • Chat with the Governance Director - The Governance Director will know which teams are recruiting and the types of skills needed.
  • Submit your application - Committee members do not need to be elected, so simply apply and tell us a bit about yourself and why you’d like to serve.
  • Celebrate - Welcome to the team!
